Azeri gas export to Israel requires construction of gas liquefaction plant and its further transportation in tankers. Trend reports with reference to oil&gas experts, for this purpose it is necessary o install a gas pipeline from Erzurum up to gas liquefaction plant to e constructed near port Ceyhan.
In early June Israeli officials stated their eagerness to import oil and gas from Azerbaijan. Israeli experts estimate the countrys gas needs in 1.5bn m3.
Another variant of Azeri gas transportation to Israel is construction of gas pipeline along the seabed of Mediterranean Sea from Ceyhan to Israeli coast. Preliminary cost of the project exceeds $1.5 bn.
