Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova/ In 2007 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan's (SOCAR) opportunities to use Baku-Novorossisk pipeline will depend on the population of Azerbaijan. The high-ranking representative of SOCAR said that if after raise of the prices for the energy resources the population use few electricity and gas, then the SOCAR will need few oil for Baku oil refineries and will be able to restore the oil exportation via the northern route.
SOCAR has already stated it does not intend to export oil via this route in the first quarter of the year.
Presently Baku- Novorossisk pipeline is used mainly at the expense of the oil produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields.
