Revenues of Azerbaijan's customs committee significantly increase

Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee (SCC) transferred 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion) to the state budget from January through December 2019, which is 27.8 percent more compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to data provided by SCC.

During this period, customs duties amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($647 million), or 25.3 percent of all revenues, VAT - 3 billion manat ($1.7 billion), or 68.5 percent, excise taxes – 249.6 million manat ($146.8 million), or 5.7 percent, road tax – 45.4 million manat ($26.7 million), or 1 percent.

Revenues from the customs duties increased by 25.6 percent, from VAT by 28.2 percent, from road tax by 13.1 percent, and from excise taxes by 46.9 percent during 2019 compared to preceding year.

State budget revenues from SCC are formed in four directions - customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.
