Georgian ministry reveals data on infrastructure tenders for July 2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1

The number of tenders on road construction in Georgia will reach 54, costing 323 million lari ($106.07 million) in July of 2020, Trend reports citing the Roads Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.

Of those 54 tenders, 16 are ongoing, 38 will be announced throughout July.

Of the 38 tenders to be announced, 26 will be funded from the state budget in the amount of 76 million lari ($24.9 million).

Among 38 tenders, 26 will be funded from the state budget in the amount of 76 million lari ($24.9 million). The remaining tenders are supported by international financial institutions in the amount of about 124 million lari ($40.7 million).

Current and planned tenders include such important projects as rehabilitation of 11 roads in Guria, rehabilitation of 2 important sections along the Sachkhere-Chiatura route in Imereti region, rehabilitation of the 15-km Marneuli-Lomtagora-Algeti road, rehabilitation of the 21-km section of the Zomleti road, as well as the rehabilitation of a 20-kilometer stretch of the Ozurgeti-Shemokmedi-Bzhuzhhesi road.
