A sharp increase of new clients of the Jysan mobile application was recorded during quarantine period and the state of emergency in Kazakhstan, First Heartland Jysan Bank told Trend.

Commenting on the issue of measures to digitize the bank's activities, the representative said that at the beginning of the year the bank adopted a new development strategy, which is based on the creation of its own digital ecosystem.

"This decision turned out to be very timely in the context of COVID-19. New digital sales channels have been launched, innovative products are being developed that allow customers to receive all the necessary services without leaving their homes. The bank's digital infrastructure made it possible to quickly adapt to new conditions and switch to online customer service, thereby keeping the bank running smoothly," the bank said.

The bank's representative said that during the period of quarantine and state of emergency in Kazakhstan, there was a sharp increase in new clients of the Jysan mobile application, and the number of registered users increased three times.

"The share of active customers who regularly use the mobile application has almost doubled. The average growth in transactions in the application has increased. If earlier it was 15-20 percent per month, then during the state of emergency the average growth reached 30 percent," the bank said.

In total, about 80 percent of all our customers throughout Kazakhstan chose Jysan mobile application and Internet banking remote service channels during the quarantine period.

"Almost all customers in a separate period were served exclusively online in Nur-Sultan and Almaty. At the same time, during the quarantine period, Jysan Bank launched new services such as online account opening, home delivery of cards, biometric identification and registration. It should be noted that these services immediately began to enjoy increased demand from users of the mobile application," the bank said.

The bank integrated the services of subsidiaries into Jysan single mobile application, which, in addition to traditional banking, allows you to use insurance services of Jysan Garant, brokerage Jysan Invest, as well as purchase equipment and food through the Jmart marketplace, the bank stressed.
