Turkmen state commodity, raw materials exchange transaction data revealed

Some 291 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan the past week, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Today State News Agency.

It is reported that entrepreneurs from Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton yarn and float glass. The total amount of transactions exceeded $3.2 million.

Also, representatives of business circles from the UK, the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan purchased cotton yarn for a total amount of over 46.4 million Turkmen manats ($13.5 million).

In addition, domestic businessmen bought waste petroleum coke produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, high density polyethylene and polypropylene (Turkmenistan's state chemical concern), as well as handmade carpets.

It is noted that the total amount of transactions exceeded 424.8 million manats ($124 million).

Moreover, Turkmen entrepreneurs purchased Portland cement for over $122,000.
