Central Bank sees decline in Iran’s foreign debts

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. Iran's foreign debts have decreased by 24 percent at the end of the 7th month of the current Iranian year (October 22, 2022), compared same period last Iranian year (October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

Iran's foreign debts amounted to approximately $6.6 billion at the end of the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

According to the statistics, Iran's short-term debts stand at $1.89 billion, while the long-term are at about $4.7 billion.

In euros, Iran's foreign debt amounted to approximately 6.68 billion euros at the end of the 7th month. Of this, 1.92 billion euros are short-term debts, while 4.76 billion euros are long-term debts.

Meanwhile, at the end of the last Iranian year (March 20, 2022), Iran’s foreign debts amounted to $8.67 billion. It means the country’s debts decreased by more than $2 billion compared to the end of 7th month.
