BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 29. The XX session of the Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states approved the work plan of the Council for 2023-2025, Trend reports.
According to the Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan Vugar Gulmammadov attended the XX meeting of the Council of Heads of the CIS member states' Accounts Chamber online.
Vugar Gulmammadov spoke on the theme of the meeting, "Ensuring the independence of state audit," and spoke about the requirements and standards for various aspects of independence of the heads of the Accounting Chamber, as well as the criteria for independence of the Accounting Chamber.
In addition, along with the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Azerbaijan, the heads of the Accounting Chambers of Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Belarus also spoke at the meeting on the same topic.
Following the results of the meeting, the work plan of the Council for 2023–2025 was approved, including the report of the Working Group on the development of standards. Kyrgyzstan was determined to be the Chairman of the Council of the Accounting Chamber for 2023–2025.
