BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. Tax revenues in Iran amounted to approximately 6.28 quadrillion rials (about $150 billion) in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.
Data from Iranian National Tax Administration (INTA) shows that direct taxes (includes legal tax, wealth tax, income tax) accounted for 3.7 quadrillion rials (about $88.2 billion).
Tax revenues from legal entities stood at about 2.36 quadrillion rials (about $56 billion).
Also, wealth tax revenues in Iran for 10 months amounted to 225 trillion rials (about $5.35 billion), and income tax revenues – 1.13 quadrillion rials (about $26.8 billion).
In addition, tax payments on goods and services for the reporting period stood at 2.57 quadrillion rials (about $61.3 billion) in 10 months.
Overall, tax revenues in Iran amounted to 4.7 quadrillion rials (about $112 billion) in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023). This is an increase of 54 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
