Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 July / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Representatives of Hewlett Packard (НР) and Colvir and Sinam companies, its partners, held meeting at the Azerpocht State Enterprise (ST) within the framework of the project on 'Development of financial services', realized jointly with the World Bank.
HP, Colvir and Sinam consortium was announced the winner of the tender on acquisition of post and financial and computerized operation system.
The system includes numerous modules both on financial and post issues. It comprises financial modules including payment, deposit, treasury, assets and liabilities management, liquidity management, informational system management and computerized account book. Post modules cover the observance of post dispatch (including international) and the computerization of post services.
According to the Communication Ministry, the second and third modules (money transfer and post services) of the system were extensively represented at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting it was decided to complete analysis of the second and third modules of the system in a short time and to begin the introduction of the system.
It is planned to put into exploitation modules on computerization of post services and money transfers by October and the rest modules including treasury, deposit, assets and liabilities management from October to the beginning of 2009.
The cost of the project on 'Development of financial services', which focus on upgrading post net in the country, is $17.5mln. The World Bank will issue $12.25mln loan and the Azerbaijani Government will finance the rest of the amount.
