Azerbaijani computer equipment producer KUR prepares for entering the portable computers market, KUR told Trend.
KUR plans to demonstrate its preliminary versions of portable computers during the 17th International Telecommunications Exhibition, Bakutel-2011, on November 23-26.
Though the Azerbaijani producers consider laptops to be a promising direction for development, they are in no rush to mass produce these devices, demonstrated by the continued underdevelopment of this market.
"We want to enter this market by creating a quality product, meeting customers' demands", the company said. "This will determine our success, which will be clearly indicated by sales".
The trend of a developing portable computer market is evident today, maintaining a progress rate of development because buyers are most oriented in portable solutions, rather than desktop devices.
"This allows us to firmly state that the era of desktop systems is ending", the company said.
