Azerbaijan’s Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan is implementing a number of measures to improve the quality of postal services, the ministry told Trend.

According to the ministry, in the near future, citizens will be able to use the services of Azerpost not only through the website, but also via mobile apps.

“Azerpost LLC, which already provides a number of financial services to the population, has connected to the information retrieval system of financial products and services. So, in the sections Branches and Departments, ATMs, Payment Terminals, Payment Cards in this system (infobank.az) contains the relevant information of Azerpost LLC,” the ministry added.

“There is no additional fee for funds transferred by organizations and individuals. Donations by legal entities are carried out by entering the organization's TIN into the system, individuals - by the ID number,” said the ministry.

The corresponding post offices of Azerpost LLC and Shebeke Service Centers provide services to citizens during the period of a special quarantine regime imposed due to coronavirus pandemic, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

As of early October 2020, within the state program on the expansion of digital payments in Azerbaijan for 2018-2020, approved by the decree of the president of Azerbaijan dated September 26, 2018, in order to ensure the possibility of full completion of mutual settlements between individuals, business structures and state bodies, a real-time instant payment system was put into operation.
