BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 272.6 billion tenge ($583.8 million) from January through October 2022, which is 54.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in October 2022 amounted to 35.01 billion tenge ($74.9 million), which is 68.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 2.4 billion tons, which is 3.7 percent less compared to the same period of last year (312.7 million tons in October 2022, down by 2.9 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 115.6 billion ton-kilometers which is 7.4 percent less than during the same period of last year (14.3 billion in October 2022, a decrease of 7.5 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 98.2 billion tenge ($210.3 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 25 percent more than during the same period of last year. October revenue from passenger transportation was 11.05 billion tenge ($23.6 million), which is 23.8 percent more compared to October 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 5.8 billion people, which is 2.7 percent more than during the same period of last year (728.8 million passengers in October 2022, down by 12.8 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 62.7 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 2.8 percent.
The passenger turnover in October was 7.3 billion (15.5 percent less year-on-year).
