In March 2018, 168,005 Georgian tourists visited Turkey, which is by 9,559 people less compared to March 2017, the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry told Trend on May 2.
Georgian citizens accounted for 10.29 percent of the total number of foreigners, who visited Turkey in March 2018, compared to 7.85 percent in March 2017.
"Tourists from Georgia rank third among the citizens of other countries who visited Turkey in March 2018," the ministry said.
In March 2018, over 2.879 million foreign tourists visited Turkey. In January-March 2018, 7.263 million foreign tourists visited Turkey.
Turkey's tourism revenues increased by 31.3 percent and amounted to $4.425 billion In January-March 2018 compared to the same period of 2017.
In January-March 2018, 76.1 percent of total profit accounted for foreign citizens, while 23.9 percent - for Turkish citizens living abroad.
