In February 2020, air carrier Turkmenistan Airlines starts regular flights to Jeddah city of Saudi Arabia, Trend reports via the company's statement.
The flights are to be carried out on a Boeing 777-200 LR.
The seaport of Jeddah takes over the main stream of pilgrims traveling for the hajj to Mecca and Medina. Therefore, Turkmenistan is developing routes that will allow tourists from Europe, Turkey, the CIS, Thailand and Vietnam to fly to the Arabian Peninsula through Ashgabat Airport, which will form additional convenience for transit travelers, said the company.
