Iran unveils data of cargo movement in Abadan port

A total of 1,910 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Abadan port of the Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) in the 10th month of the current Iranian year (December 21, 2020, through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, 762 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,150 tons were unloaded in the port within the 10th month.

“Furthermore, 762 tons of cargo were loaded for export and 593 tons were unloaded for import in the port during the reporting period. At the same time, 90 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes,” the statistics said.

In the 10th month, 1,020 tons of essential products, 256 tons of metal products, 394 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Abadan port,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, also, 150 tons of leather goods, clothing, fiber, paper, and wood materials, 87 tons of small and various products were loaded and unloaded at the port over the mentioned period.

As reported, a total of 10.8 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 10th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.32 million tons were unloaded and 4.55 million tons were loaded.
