The machinery and equipment, cars, trailers and semi-trailers were produced in Azerbaijan in the amount of 228.1 million manat ($134.1 million) from January through August 2021, Trend reports, citing the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
The cost of manufactured machinery and equipment increased by 1.8 percent, or 4.1 million manat ($2.4 million), compared to the same period of 2020, and the cost of manufactured cars, trailers and semi-trailers decreased by 38.5 percent.
Some 432 tractors were produced in Azerbaijan from January through August 2021, which is 2.6 times, or 166 units higher than over the same period of 2020.
The production of passenger cars in Azerbaijan from January through August 2021 amounted to 1,214, whereas in 2020 it was 1,970.
Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 3.6 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020 – from 46 billion ($27 billlion) to 54.7 billion manat ($32.1 billion).
