Azerbaijan imported 81,726 vehicles in 11M2021, which is 41.47 percent, or 33,885 more than in the same period last year, Trend reports citing the State Customs Committee (SCC).
According to the Committee, the bulk of imports fell on passenger cars - 76,348, which is 42 percent, or 32,070 more than the same period in 2020. Of them, 213 vehicles with a capacity of 10 people and more, 153 electric vehicles and 11,464 hybrid vehicles were imported.
Also, imports of hybrid vehicles increased by over 2.5 times, or by 6,978 compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, the number of imported cargo vehicles increased by 43.2 percent over the year and reached 5,024. Azerbaijan imported cars worth $835.3 million over 11M2021.
