Iran discloses number of ships carrying essential goods to country's ports

In total, 289 ships carrying essential goods were docked at the south and north ports of Iran, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Trend reports citing Iranian Government Trading Corporation (GTC).

According to the report, so far, the cargo of 283 ships have been unloaded in the ports.

A total of 7.7 million tons of essential goods, including wheat, rice, cooking oil and raw sugar were unloaded in Iranian ports. Of them, 5.5 million tons were wheat, 1.1 million tons - cooking oil, 843,000 tons - sugar, and 258,000 tons - rice.

Within the framework of the implemented programs, Iran continues to import the essential goods this year, and there are enough essential goods in stock.
