BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 14. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 57.02 billion tenge ($126.7 million) from January through March 2022, which is 38.2 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in March 2022 amounted to 23.5 billion tenge ($52.2 million), which is 52.8 percent more than during the same period of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 669.9 million tons, which is 2.7 percent more compared to the same period of last year (222.4 million tons in March 2022, up by 4.9 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 31.6 billion ton-kilometers which is 1.3 percent less than during the same period of last year (10.2 billion in March 2022, a decrease of 1.1 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 24.2 billion tenge ($53.7 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 16.9 percent more than during the same period of last year. March revenue from passenger transportation was 9.4 billion tenge ($20.9 million), which is 25.7 percent more compared to March 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 1.5 billion people, which is 24.3 percent more than during the same period of last year (570.8 million passengers in March 2022, up by 23.7 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 16.9 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 20.8 percent.
The passenger turnover in March was 6.1 billion (19.3 percent more year-on-year).
