BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The volume of cargo unloaded at the Noshahr port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 10.9 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

Over 655,000 tons of cargo were unloaded at this port during the last Iranian year. Of this, 29,800 tons were loaded and about 626,000 tons were unloaded.

Some 29,700 tons of cargo were exported and 615,000 tons were imported through the Noshahr port for the reporting period.

In addition, 17 tons of cargo were loaded and 6,720 tons were unloaded at the port for transit purposes. Also, 44 tons of cargo were loaded and 3,570 tons were unloaded for other purposes.

About 538,000 tons of essential products, 723 tons of metal products, 10,700 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,860 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts, 2,650 tons of chemicals, 82,800 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 20 tons of small and assorted goods, 92 tons of container products and 18,600 tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port within the last Iranian year.

Overall, approximately 152 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports over the last Iranian year. Of that, about 80 million tons were loaded and 71.7 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 1.7 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year.
