The heads of the railways of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will sign a memorandum on promoting the sustainable development of transit potential and environmental safety of railway transport of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, Trend reports with reference to the press center of the Belarusian Railways.

According to the information, a delegation of the Belarusian Railways headed by the head of the Belarusian Railway Vladimir Morozov will take part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held on August 19-20 in Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyzstan).

It is reported that during the event it is planned to sign a memorandum aimed at developing the transport and logistics system of the EAEU, increasing the share of railways of the member states of the union in the global market of transport and logistics services, developing the Eurasian integration process and strengthening economic ties between the three countries.

Also, much attention will be paid to increasing the competitiveness of container transportation on Eurasian transit railway routes, including in the China - Europe - China traffic, thanks to the efficient functioning of the United Transport and Logistics Company (JSC UTLC ERA).
