Kazakhstan, Russia discuss gas supply issues

Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev and Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak discussed gas supplies issues, Trend reports citing Kazinform.

During the meeting held in Moscow, the parties discussed issues in the oil, petrochemical, gas industries and in the field of subsoil use. In particular:

- the issue of further supplies of Russian diesel fuel to Kazakhstan;

- the possibility of creating a joint investment project to create a network of liquefied natural gas filling stations along the transit route from Russia to China;

- gasification of the North Kazakhstan and East Kazakhstan regions.

Magzum Mirzagaliyev offered the Russian side to take part in gas supplies on mutually acceptable terms.

In turn, Russian Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the Russian government is ready to intensify the negotiation process on this issue, the relevant authorities and companies will be given appropriate instructions.
