BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. The volume of Kazakhstan's diesel fuel production increased in the first half of 2022, Trend reports citing energyprom.kz.

According to the statistical data, Kazakhstan from January through June 2022 produced 2.7 million tons of diesel fuel, which is an increase of 13.9 percent compared to the same period of last year (2.3 million tons).

A significant part of the production of diesel fuel traditionally fell on the Pavlodar and Atyrau regions, as well as the city of Shymkent, where oil refineries are located.

At the end of July this year, the average price for diesel fuel in Kazakhstan was 235 tenge ($0.49) per liter. The lowest prices were recorded in Aktau 225 tenge ($0.47) per liter, as well as in Shymkent and Turkestan - 226 tenge ($0.47) per liter.

Meanwhile, the highest prices for diesel fuel were observed in Petropavlovsk and Kostanay 260 tenge ($0.54) per liter.
