BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey significantly increased in the first quarter of 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, the value of trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey from January through March 2022 amounted to $154 million, which is an increase of 84.8 percent compared to the same period of 2022 ($83.3 million).
The share of Turkey in the total trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan amounted to 7.3 percent.
Turkey exported to Kyrgyzstan goods worth $111.1 million from January through March 2022, which is an increase of 77.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021($62.6 million).
Kyrgyzstan’s exports to Turkey in the reporting period amounted to $42.8 million, which is an increase of 107.4 percent compared to $20.6 million in the same period of 2021.
Kyrgyzstan's total value of foreign trade turnover increased by 50 percent from January through March 2022 compared to the same period last year - from $2.1 billion to $1.4 billion.
