Kyrgyzstan boosts imports of petroleum products from Russia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. Kyrgyzstan increased imports of petroleum products from Russia in the first half of this year, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 imported petroleum products from Russia for $234.4 million, which is an increase of 88.5 percent compared to the same period of last year ($124.3 million),

Overall, Kyrgyz imports of petroleum products in six months of this year amounted to $255.6 million, which is 66.6 percent more than in the corresponding period of 2021 ($153.4 million).

In addition, Kyrgyzstan imported from Russia gasoline in the amount of $186.8 million, which is an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the similar period of last year ($166 million).

Notably, during the reporting period, Kyrgyz imports of goods from Russia increased by 19.7 percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($835.1 million) - up to $1 billion.
