BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23. Kyrgyzstan increased mineral extraction from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to statistics, the total value of Kyrgyzstan's mineral extraction in seven months amounted to 25.8 billion soms ($322.4 million), which is an increase of 86.9 percent compared to the same period of last year 13.8 billion soms ($171 million).
During the reporting period, crude oil and natural gas production in Kyrgyzstan reached 5.7 billion soms ($71.9 million), which is an increase of 58.3 percent compared to the same period of last year (3.6 billion soms, or $44.7 million).
In addition, the coal and lignite extraction from January through July 2022 totaled 2.3 billion soms ($29.7 million) and mining of metal ores - 17.3 billion soms ($216.3 million).
