Gasoline prices in Kyrgyzstan down

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 7. The average price of 1 liter of RON-92 gasoline has dropped by 5 soms ($0.05) in Kyrgyzstan’s Bishkek, in comparison with the beginning of 2023, the State Antimonopoly Regulation Service said, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

According to the service, since January 2023, there has been a downward trend in wholesale prices for fuel and lubricants in the retail sector. The decline affected the prices of smaller oil traders in Bishkek and in other regions of the country.

The average prices of RON-92 gasoline among the country’s regions are following: Bishkek – 53.9 soms ($0.62), Chuy – 53.9 soms ($0.62), Issyk-Kul – 53.9 soms ($0.62), Naryn – 54.7 soms ($0.63), Talas – 54.9 soms ($0.64), Jalal-Abad – 55.5 soms ($0.64), Osh – 56.9 soms ($0.66), Batken – 57.9 soms ($0.67),

Diesel fuel prices in Bishkek have declined by 1.2 soms ($0.01) per liter. The average prices for diesel fuel are: Bishkek – 73.6 soms ($0.85), Chuy – 72.3 soms ($0.83), Issyk-Kul – 73.2 soms ($0.84), Naryn – 73.7 soms ($0.85), Talas – 69.8 soms ($0.8) Jalal-Abad – 74.8 soms ($0.86), Osh – 74.8 soms ($0.86), Batken – 76.5 soms ($0.88).

During February, the price will be further adjusted step by step by major market players toward decline.

In January 2023, RON-92 gasoline prices in Kyrgyzstan reduced by 1.2 soms ($0.01). Meanwhile, diesel fuel prices raised by 15.1 soms ($0.17), comparing to the same period in 2022.

According to the analytical resource Global Petrol Prices, Kyrgyzstan ranked 22-nd country in the world in terms of cheap gasoline prices and 23rd in terms of diesel fuel prices in 2022.
