BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 9. Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is ready to contribute to green economic development in Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.

The issue was discussed during the meeting between Kyrgyzstan's First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, Choro Seyitov, with the Country Director of the GIZ Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan, Viktor Wetzel, held in the Ministry.

At the meeting, Wetzel said that GIZ was ready to make contributions in green economic development and to launch a new regional trade development project in 2024.

The German side was informed of ongoing social-economic reforms and implementation of medium-term national program for the development of Kyrgyzstan, as well as of accepted plans and strategies.

The parties exchanged views on the development of the regions, trade turnover, transport routes and a green economy, in particular, the development of the low carbon transport.

In addition, the sides also discussed issues of cooperation in various fields, as well as the realization progress of ongoing projects.

Following the meeting, they pointed out that Germany and Kyrgyzstan are ready to further efficient cooperation.
