BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. Kyrgyzstan plans to allocate 82.4 million soms ($942,408) from the republican budget to the Issyk-Kul region of the country, which is a decrease of almost 15 times from last year’s budget, Trend reports citing the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan.

Of them, 32.4 million soms ($370,558) are intended for Ak-Suu district, 11.3 million soms ($129, 238) - for Issyk-Kul district, 22.6 million soms ($258,476) – for Tong district, and 16.1 million soms ($184,135) for Tyup district.

Meanwhile, according to the Ministry, last year an amount of 1.2 billion soms ($13.7 million) was allocated to the Issyk-Kul region.

The funds were allocated to the following purposes:

For the equalization payments – 82.4 million soms ($942,408);

To authorized representatives - 24.4 million soms ($279,062);

Salary increase for municipal employees - 104.1 million soms ($1.1 million);

Salary increase for cultural workers - 40.7 million soms ($465,485);

A 50 percent compensation for electricity - 25 million soms ($285,925);

A compensation for losses on land tax - 40.8 million soms ($466,629);

To the title of "Best Aiyl Okmotu" (rural government) - 1.5 million soms ($17,155);

To finance local governments - 10.6 million soms ($121,232);

For the master plan – 900,000 soms ($10,293);

One-time payment for the development of the city of Kara-Kol within the “Point of Growth” - 885 million soms ($10 million).

The Ministry added that 43 projects were implemented in the Issyk-Kul region in 2022 with a total financing of 77.6 million soms ($887,511).
