BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and France registered an increase of 11 percent year-on-year from January through March 2023 – from $14.6 million to $16.2 million, Trend reports.
According to the statistical agency of Kyrgyzstan, trade with France accounted for 0.6 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s total trade turnover.
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to France increased by 73 percent year-on-year, growing from $67,900 up to $118,000.
At the same time, the imports from France to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $16.1 million in 1Q2023, increasing by 10 percent over $14.5 million during the same period last year.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover amounted to $2.7 billion from January through March 2023, which is an increase of 25.4 percent over the same period of 2022 ($2.1 billion).
Meanwhile, last year trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and France amounted to $60.4 million, increasing by almost 63 percent, compared to the same period in 2021 ($37 million).
Kyrgyzstan mainly imported from France pharmaceutical products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, perfumes, acrylic polymers, and engines. Among Kyrgyzstan’s exports to France are honey, processed vegetables, textiles, radar and radio navigation equipment, building structures, and footwear.
