BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 7. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov will make a working visit to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Presidential Administration's official Muratbek Azymbakiev said, Trend reports.
“The Kyrgyz president will make a working visit to Astana city on August 8–10 at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to attend the Sixth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Summit of Heads of State of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue,” he said.
The official noted that during the visit, Zhaparov will hold negotiations with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, and the meeting will discuss current issues of bilateral cooperation.
“The upcoming Sixth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Summit of Heads of State of the Central Asia + Japan Dialogue in Astana is expected to be aimed at discussing current issues of multilateral cooperation as well as prospects for regional interaction,” Azymbakiev said.
The visit program also schedules Zhaparov's participation in the Central Asia + Japan Business Forum as part of the ongoing summit.
