BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. The value of insurance payouts in Tajikistan increased in the first half of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the National Bank of Tajikistan.
According to the Bank, the insurance payouts and compensations from January through June 2022 amounted to 10.1 million somoni ($990,196), which is an increase of 30.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
"Insurance of banking services has a positive effect on the liquidity of the banking system, contributes to an increase in the activity of insurance organizations, and serves as a factor in increasing demand and supply for banking and insurance products," the National Bank said.
Meanwhile, the total volume of insurance premiums in Tajikistan amounted to 287 million somoni ($28.1 million) in 2021, which is an increase of 21.7 percent compared to 2020.
