BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. Tajikistan's Sughd region increased coal production from January through July 2022, Trend reports citing sughdnews.com.
The volume of coal production in Tajikistan's Sughd Region amounted to 939,700 tons, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period of last year (894,400 tons).
This year, in the Sughd region there are operating 213 selling points for the sale of coal, and 398 for the sale of liquefied gas in order to meet the needs of the population.
Notably, coal mining in the Sughd region increased sharply in July 2022. The total volume of Sughd's coal production from January through June 2022 was 695,300 tons.
