BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover increased over the past year, Trend reports via Tajik Media.
As reported, the value of Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover reached more than $7.3 billion in 2022, which is an increase of 15 percent compared to 2021.
During the last year, Tajikistan exported goods worth over $2.1 billion and imports of $5.2 billion. The main markets for Tajik products last year were Kazakhstan (22.6 percent of total exports), Switzerland (18.1 percent), and China (17.2 percent).
At the same time, goods were imported mainly from Russia (30.7 percent of total imports), Kazakhstan (18.5 percent), and China (16.3 percent).
Meanwhile, the main trading partners of Tajikistan last year were Russia (22.9 percent in foreign trade), Kazakhstan (19.7 percent), and China (16.6 percent). Statistics show that in 2021, the foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan was $6.3 billion, the greatest level ever recorded in the history of its independence.
