BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 9
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to Uzbekistan on October 4-5, where the Turkmen-Uzbek economic forum was held with the participation of the heads of the two states, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen State Customs Service.
Within the framework of the forum, in addition to other bilateral documents, a protocol was signed on organizing the exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles transported across the customs border between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
It was noted that establishing the exchange of preliminary information in electronic form is an effective tool to help speed up the process of processing documents at the customs border.
It is expected that the implementation of the protocol on the preliminary exchange of data between the customs services of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan will significantly reduce the duration of customs operations, which will contribute to the development and expansion of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
