BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Turkmenistan to expand digital banking services for businesses, Trend reports citing the Business Turkmenistan news agency.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov to the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.
According to him, comprehensive measures are being implemented in Turkmenistan to improve the digital system, expand the Internet-bank system, and remote online payments.
Such services have been provided by the Rysgal Joint-Stock Commercial Bank since 2019, Mukhammedov said.
Taking into account the great interest of bank customers in this type of service and the accumulated positive experience, a proposal was submitted to the Head of state for the introduction of the Internet-bank system in the Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank, as well as in the Halkbank and Senagat Joint-Stock Commercial Banks for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs.
The President approved the submitted proposal and instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take measures to organize the activities of domestic banks in accordance with the realities of the time.
