BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Turkmenistan's transport departments plan to purchase cars, minibusses and diesel locomotives in the near future, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
This was announced by the Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammethan Chakiyev to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting.
According to him, the "Turkmendemiryollary" (Turkmenistan Railways) agency plans to purchase new freight locomotives, and the "Türkmenawtoulaglary" (Turkmenautotransport) agency - passenger cars and minibusses.
At the same time, with the construction of passenger bus stations in the regions, additional jobs will be created, Chakiyev noted.
After hearing the report, President Berdimuhamedov stressed that the transport system receives large state investments, therefore, it is necessary to increase the production capacities of subordinate enterprises.
The Head of State gave the Director of the agency specific instructions in this direction.
