BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which the Turkmennebit State Concern will conclude a contract with an International Oilfield Service Company owned by Chinese Sinopec Group, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
Sinopec Group is the second largest oil and gas producer in China and one of the world's leading chemical corporations.
The mentioned contract will be concluded for the provision of specialized services to increase the productivity of oil wells in Turkmenistan.
The draft document was presented by the Deputy Chairman of Turkmenistan, who oversees the country's oil and gas industry, Shakhym Abdrakhmanov.
Signing the document, the president noted the importance of broad involvement of best practices in the industry to increase oil production.
