BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. The area of land sown with winter wheat in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Golden Age online newspaper.

According to the information, 130,000 hectares of land have been sown in the region this year, from which it is planned to harvest 310,000 tons of winter wheat. Currently, the fields are being taken care of in an organized manner.

To date, over 8,200 tons of carbamide fertilizers and 25,600 tons of phosphorus fertilizers have been used in the sown areas.

The agricultural sector in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly.

This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, melon, fruit, and berry crops.
