BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The growth rate of Turkmenistan's GDP for the first 3 months of 2023 remained at the level of 6.2 percent, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen media.
This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a government meeting held on April 15.
According to him, since the beginning of this year, wages in Turkmenistan have increased by 10 percent.
In addition, the Head of state noted that at the moment oil and gas fields are being built in the country, power transmission and communication lines are being built along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan route, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, as well as preparations for the implementation of other international projects.
Focusing on the long-term plans, the Head of Turkmenistan stressed that effective work should be carried out to implement the Presidential Program of socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028, properly.
At the meeting, the results of the government's work in the economic sphere for the first 3 months of 2023 were summed up, a number of draft documents were considered and priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the country were discussed.
