ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 8. The electricity generation sector in Turkmenistan has been growing rapidly from January through March this year, Trend reports.
According to the official source, this was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Baymyrat Annamamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
"The Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan fulfilled the plan for the manufacturing of products, works, and services provided from January through March by 114.4 percent. The growth rate of electricity production was 0.8 percent," he said.
Furthermore, the Deputy Chairman noted that during the specified period, the plan for the production and provision of services by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern was exceeded by 52.8 percent, the State Agency for Road Construction Management by 15.1 percent, and the municipality of Ashgabat city by 13 percent.
Meanwhile, in recent years, Turkmenistan has been actively developing electricity production, focusing efforts on upgrading existing power plants and building new facilities.
This strategic approach allows the country to increase its energy potential, which contributes to stable economic growth and an increase in the standard of living of the population.
