Turkish company wins international tender for construction of medical hydrotherapy center in Turkmenistan

(Turkmenistan.ru) - Turkish company Macc Insaat Sanayi Yatyrym we Tijaret Limited Sirketi was announced the winner of international tender for construction of a hydropathic center in one of Turkmenistan's famous balneotherapeutic resorts, Archman, with a branch in the settlement of Yyly Suv. Turkmen President Saparmurat Niyazov signed a resolution authorizing the Ministry of healthcare and pharmaceutical industry of Turkmenistan to approve this decision which was made by the Islamic Development Bank and OPEC's Fund for International Development who issued a loan for this project.

The cost of the contract is US $ 14,290 mln. The construction should start in December this year. The facility, including landscaping of the adjacent territory, should be commissioned in April 2008, reports Trend.

The medical hydrotherapy center in Archman, situated 130 km to the west from the Turkmen capital, with a total area of 30 thousand square meters is designed for 500 people. The branch in Yyly Suv with a total area of 5,5 thousand square meters is designed for 50 people.

The active development of the resort zones as well as the industry of modern therapy and relaxation with a view to improving health of Turkmenistan population is envisaged in the state programme "Health" designed until 2020.
