Net foreign assets of Uzbekistan's Central Bank increase

The net foreign assets of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan increased by 2.14 percent for the fourth quarter of 2017 and amounted to 225.5 trillion soums as of January 1, 2018, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan told Trend.

The central bank’s net domestic assets for the reporting period increased by 1.37 percent up to 193.5 trillion soums.

The central bank’s net claims to the government decreased by 0.47 percent over the last three months of 2017 up to 117.5 trillion soums, while net claims to the Uzbekistan Reconstruction and Development Fund - by 2.2 percent up to 99.8 trillion soums.

The monetary base increased by 7.05 percent up to 31.9 trillion soums. Correspondent accounts increased by 2.1 times up to 6.7 trillion soums, deposits - by 5.55 percent up to 171 billion soums.
