A company from the United Arab Emirates, ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC, will build and commission more than 100 new wells for natural gas production in Uzbekistan in 2018.
The project’s cost is almost $500 million, Uzbekneftegaz JSC told Trend.
In 2017, ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC won the tender announced by Uzbekneftegaz on the construction and commissioning of drilling wells, taking into account the additional equipment and modernization of drilling rigs.
Under the tender terms, the company from the UAE will build more than 500 similar wells until late 2021 for natural gas production as part of the Program for increasing hydrocarbon production in 2017-2021, said Uzbekneftegaz.
Moreover, ERIELL Oilfield Services Middle East DMCC in a consortium with the Austrian ERIELL GmbH will repair 80 operating wells for the production of natural gas worth more than $10 million, and 420 wells worth almost $58 million until late 2021.
Uzbekistan produced 56.418 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2017 as compared to 56.132 billion cubic meters in 2016.
