BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 20.The volume of the gold reserves of Uzbekistan as of May 1, 2022 reached $21.3 billion, which is an increase of three percent compared to the same period last year ($20.7 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
During this period, the volume of gold reserves of Uzbekistan amounted to 11.1 million troy ounces.
The volume of official reserve assets of Uzbekistan in the corresponding period, reached $34.2 billion, which is an increase of five percent compared to the same period of 2021 ($35.9 billion).
As of May 1,2022 the volume of other assets in foreign currency amounted to $114.9 million, which is an increase by 4.6 times compared to the same period of 2021 ($24.9 million).
