BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Uzbekistan imported 16,300 cars worth $395.9 million from January through June 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Imports of passenger cars increased by 7,000 units, compared to the corresponding period last year.
During this period, most of the cars were imported from China in the amount of 7,300 units, followed by South Korea (4,500 units), Kazakhstan (2,900 units), Russia (1,200 units).
In the corresponding period, Uzbekistan imported 1,125 electric cars worth $34.1 million from 10 countries.
In 2021, Uzbekistan imported 27,067 cars worth $588.2 million from 26 countries.
