BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. Uzbekistan exported 15.3 million pairs of shoes worth $21.4 million to 18 countries from January through July 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Footwear exports decreased by 1.3 million pairs compared to the same period last year.
The biggest amount of footwear was exported from the country’s Andijan region, which amounted to $9.2 million, followed by the Samarkand region ($4.8 million), Fergana region ($4.7 million) and Tashkent region ($1 million).
During this period, most of the footwear was exported to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of 7.6 million pairs, followed by Tajikistan (3.5 million pairs), Kazakhstan (3.5 million pairs), and Russia (334,000 pairs).
