BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 15. Uzbekistan and Spanish Investrade company have reached an agreement to carry out work to establish the export of Uzbek products to the Spanish market, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The agreement was reached between the diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan to Spain and the president of Investrade, Emilio Carmona Pertiñez.
During the meeting, Pertiñez noted that his company is looking for new directions for Spanish business in order to implement joint projects abroad using Spanish technology and capital.
He noted that there is a growing interest among Spanish companies in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan as a country with a dynamically developing economy and investment attractiveness.
According to him, the main interest for Spanish companies lies within such areas as agro-industry, pharmaceuticals, textiles, mining, production of components for the automotive industry and others.
Head of Investrade also appraised the new opportunities that have opened up for Spanish business circles within the agreement on financial cooperation mechanisms signed during the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation (IGC) of Spain and Uzbekistan.
That agreement provides for the allocation of a concessional loan from the Spanish government in the amount of 250 million euros to finance joint projects in Uzbekistan.
Investrade is a Spanish consulting company which specializes in the development of international commercial relations between Spain and foreign markets.
