BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 17. Uzbekistan and China consider cooperation development in such spheres as automotive manufacturing, green energy, agriculture, and fruit and vegetable processing, Trend reports via the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.

The issue was discussed at the Uzbek-Chinese Business Forum held in China's Xi'an, preceding the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Over 400 major Chinese companies interested in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan have participated in the event.

Moreover, cooperation in the electrical engineering industry, pharmaceuticals, and chemistry was highlighted as having significant potential.

Within the framework of the event, the parties signed a number of agreements on the implementation of joint investment projects and various trade contracts.

Addressing the forum participants, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, highly appreciated the resolute attitude of the business community towards fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

Representatives of the Chinese business community were thoroughly acquainted with the positive structural transformations and favorable business conditions created in Uzbekistan. The introduced tax and customs benefits for investors, the establishment of a streamlined government apparatus, the deregulation of business, the implementation of a "one-stop shop" principle for working with investors, the constitutional protection of private property, and the independence of the judicial system were of great interest.

The forum also featured presentations of specific project proposals and initiatives for joint implementation, covering dozens of different sectors and directions. Participants had the opportunity to further discuss upcoming cooperation within the framework of organized B2B and G2B negotiations.
